| CHOOSE YOUR GOD Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve Yahweh*, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: Do you feel disrespectful even thinking about questioning the character and values of your god? Would you worship the being found to be the most powerful regardless of his/her character, values, law and covenant promises and requirements? I would not worship any god who did not recognize and submit to truth as a necessary requirement for all communication, and to justice and mercy as requirements for judging relationship issues between all intelligent beings. Would you? How do you know you are worshipping such a God? What is your faith based on? I would not worship a god who was not stable, and not faithful to all covenant agreements. Would you? I would not worship a god who did not love each intelligent being equal to Her/Himself. I believe it is necessary for you to know the god you worship before you commit to any agreement with that god. Any relationship can be fully successful only if the expectations and requirements of both parties are known and accepted by both parties. Before you choose to commit to a covenant relationship: know the other individual, in this case God, know yourself and know the terms of the covenant. In spite of all the different names given by various groups of humans today and in the past to the imaginary or real beings who they believe to be God, there are really only two spirit beings seeking to influence and rule over all humans. The Creator God, Yahweh is one, and the adversary, the "god of this world", is the other. The characteristics, of the many gods that have been created by the imagination of humans, can usually be seen to be the result of a compositing of varying percentages of influences by the Creator God, the adversary and the human imagination. *I believe this pronunciation has the greatest probability of being the correct one. |
